The Town of Beginnings serves as the primary starting hub in Sword Art: Eternity, an open-world Roblox MMORPG developed by MOTE Games. When you first spawn into Floor 1, your character carries only 20 Col, making early exploration, stat leveling, and basic shop upgrades essential before you venture deeper into the wilderness.

Basic Controls and Spawn Mechanics

If you own the Private Servers game pass, the teleport crystal situated directly at spawn in the Town Of Beginnings allows you to select and enter Floor 1 - Private.

Before heading into combat, speak with the tutorial Black Swordsman NPC located inside the town. This NPC explains key combat controls and assigns your introductory objective to parry a boar and defeat a frenzy boar.

Early Stat Training: Agility and Stamina

Before spending your starting currency or taking on aggressive mobs, running laps around the perimeter of the Town of Beginnings increases your stamina and agility. Both stats level up naturally simply by sprinting around town.

Reaching level 5 in stamina raises your stamina pool to a total of 200. Investing time in this early routine prevents you from running out of stamina during active combat encounters, blocking maneuvers, and dodges outside the city gates.

Town of Beginnings Shops and Equipment

The town contains three essential starter vendors positioned near the central avenues. Knowing what each stand sells ensures you do not waste Col or get stuck without basic recovery supplies.

Shop TypeAvailable ItemsKey Costs and Notes
Starter Weapon ShopStarter weapons for each weapon class, Starter ShieldProvides base defense via shields; provides weapon replacements if your main sword breaks
Potion StandHealth potions, stamina potions, status remedies, teleport crystals, lanternsRemedies cure status ailments including bleeding, poison, and paralysis
Starter Armor ShopLevel 3 and Level 5 armorsSells Ferion armor at level 3 for 250 Col; provides +5 speed, +1.5% defense, and +1.5% heaviness

Equipping the level 3 Ferion armor applies a 1.5% heaviness penalty that slightly lowers stamina regeneration, but the +5 bonus to movement speed outweighs the drawback during combat positioning. Players who purchase the official Starter Pack game pass for 499 Robux bypass early shop purchases with a level 1 Hardened Plate armor, an Uneven Longsword, and 2,500 Col.

Farming Boars Outside the Town Gates

Once you draw your weapon with Q, head through the main town gate into the open plains. The surrounding area features approximately five boar spawn locations.

Before fighting, speak to the gate NPC to accept the repeatable quest to kill 10 boars. This quest awards approximately 55 experience and 138 Col upon completion.

When approaching a wild boar, the creature initiates combat with a forward charge:

  1. Approach the boar and hold F to block its initial dash attack.
  2. Strike the boar immediately following the blocked charge.
  3. Normal boar strikes deal roughly 25 damage and can inflict the bleeding status effect.
  4. Defeating an individual boar grants between 16 and 45 experience alongside 6 to 60 Col, with regular drops including boar meat.

Durability and Level Progression

Weapons in Sword Art: Eternity possess finite durability. If your weapon durability drops to zero, the weapon breaks and becomes unusable. When this happens, return immediately to the starter weapon shop in the Town of Beginnings to acquire a replacement.

Grind the repeatable boar quest until you reach level 5. Reaching level 5 unlocks the ability to trade Col and items with other players in your party. At this milestone, you can safely depart the Town of Beginnings and proceed toward the settlement of Meddai for level 5 weapon upgrades and wolf farming routes.
